Big Day!
I’m doing something today that I haven’t done since I was 14 years old, and that is moving. I’m packing up everything I own, and moving from Pittsburgh to Buffalo. (I’ll be moving to Buffalo this week. I have to be there by the 15th). It’s a big day, and it’s what I’ve been planning for, but it’s kind of scary. I didn’t think I’d be so nervous. I’ve lived in Pittsburgh for 10 years, and this is going to feel like I’ve been living in Pittsburgh my whole life.
Laundry!
I’m hoping to do a lot of the laundry today. I’m only three weeks behind on my bills, but I have to do it all at once. I have to pick up all the stuff I don’t want. I need to sell my car, and have it cleaned. I still have 2 million things in my room, and I’m too tired to really go through it all. It’s just too big. Like I said, I’m moving to Buffalo, and I’m not moving a whole load of stuff. That would be a mistake. I’m leaving most of my books, CD’s, clothing, and other stuff at my brother’s house. It’s just going to be a load of laundry.
Moving feels kind of funny. I’ve been planning it since April, and now that it’s here, I’m surprised and enjoying the process. It will be nice to get away for a while, but I’ll miss it here. Under recent hair-raising conditions, Los Angeles police officers have returned to the field with some subtle weapons that take aim not at criminals but at each other.
