The Dungeon Master of Tales of Arise is perfectly fine. He can generate monsters from nothingness at high speeds, and since he can spawn sub-bosses and even whole teams of them, it can be really hard to keep a footing. Especially when you start with a bare party. (Though, depending on your setup, you might not need a good D.M. – some of us did survive some of our best moments, only to end up at the bad end again – and such things I am sure most of us can relate to.) Speaking of dungeons: the encounters in these are crazy well done. Hidden things – secret passages, moving things – raising platforms, maybe even vendor-like items you would have otherwise missed – these are all very common scenes, among other things.
