Adobe Elements is a digital image editing software package developed by Adobe Systems. Elements was introduced on February 25, 2002 as a free, simpler, and smaller version of Photoshop that can be used to edit and alter images. In January 2005, it was rebranded with the Photoshop Elements name and launched for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X for a monthly fee. After the name change, the product featured fewer features and was targeted more towards photographers and hobbyists.[1] In 2012, Adobe released Elements 11 (previously called CS5). It is a fully featured version of Photoshop and is the latest version.

Before Elements was released in 2002, a series of standalone PSD Photoshop editors were released for image editing that included Free Psd Photoshop, ImageMover’s Free Software Graphics Editor, and Adobe’s own Photoshop Free Software Graphics Editor. These editors were designed to be simple to use and did not offer as many editing features as Photoshop. However, Free Psd Photoshop was the most popular tool due to its simpler interface. Elements was designed to compete with Free Psd Photoshop.

Elements was released in February 2002, free of charge, to all registered Photoshop 3.0 users. The public release was on August 14, 2002. Elements uses a similar user interface as the previous releases, and features a new logo which replaces the “Photoshop” logo. Elements is a brand of Adobe, not a stand-alone product.

Elements had its first 10 million US users in less than one year, July 30, 2002.[2] It was the most used image editor at first, even beating Photoshop.

In November 2001, Adobe added a set of tools to the Shape Tools palette. Adobe made Shape tools freely available in response to a request by a customer.[3]

Elements has the same limitations as Photoshop CS’s user interface. This means that the user can not resize a document by using image dragging in Elements, as the right mouse button is required. However, in Elements 3 the user is able to lock the image into a fixed size via the Lock/Unlock button on the bottom of the graphics window.

In 2002, Elements was the second-most-downloaded program in the US, behind only the Web browser Microsoft Internet Explorer.[4]

Elements had a total of 150 million registered users worldwide as of December 2005[5] as

How to do latency calibration in Scala?

I’m designing a module for my robots, the control program is written in Scala.
It works a lot like the Matlab/Simulink block diagram, the core is executed like a function, there are a lot of send/receive between control and sensors, etc.
To make the system more stable, it’s important to calibrate the latency of each sensor, especially GPS, where the latency is around 8ms.
I’ve seen this done in Matlab, a sample program is:
%% Latency calibration
function Latency = calibrateLatency()
data = zeros(5,1);
Latency = data(1);
Latency(2) = 60;
Latency(3) = 40;
Latency(4) = 20;
Latency(5) = 20;
Latency(6) = 40;
Latency(7) = 60;
Latency(8) = 90;
Latency = Latency + zeros(1,5);
Latency = Latency./ sum(Latency);

printf(“Latency is now: %0.3f
“, Latency)

In Matlab, the results were good, in Scala, when printing Latency:
Latency =
0.043333 0.038078 0.036667 0.033333 0.0

System Requirements:

Windows: Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 64-bit
Minimum: 2 GHz Dual Core Processor
3 GB of available hard-drive space
DirectX: Version 9.0c
HDD Space: Recommended for at least 5.3 GB
V-SYNC Disabling: Optionally turn off V-SYNC in-game for better performance.
Suggested GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 2GB or better.
A copy of Windows 8 or newer is recommended.
Macintosh: OS X
