I didn’t play much during the beta, because I got stuck on the first boss, but I managed to get into the game a bit later on, so I can try and give an opinion on the full release.

The world is very beautiful, and the things in it are incredibly detailed. The game looks very lovingly crafted, and it really shows. The graphics are very polished, and there are a few very small glitches (some textures are a bit glitchy for instance) but aside from that, it’s mostly a gorgeous game.

Your controls aren’t that great, they do almost feel a little bit sluggish, but perhaps I am nitpicking the controls too much, because this isn’t really too much of an issue with the game. The movement in the world is just perfect and doesn’t feel awkward at all.

One of the most impressive things about the game is its soundtrack, with all the cards in the deck being great songs that fit the tone of the game perfectly. Very happy with that.

The RPG mechanics are quite average. The classes and character progression are quite generic, and you have a few abilities and limitations, but no way to really customize your character. The differences between the classes are basically just a passive stat boost, but they are very customizable, and you can try and level up whatever trait you want. This feels quite generic to the genre, but it was a welcome change, compared to most other MMOs, where they just have stat boosts.

The combat is fun and satisfying, although like all pretty much every MMO ever made, it does have a certain grindy feel to it, and you do feel quite a bit of repetition, but these are both fairly easy to get over.

What really surprises me is the amount of content and length of the game, and that it is quite a lot longer than you would expect from a free-to-play game. It starts out quite short, and feels rather sparse, but the exploration elements get interesting, and the content expands quite a bit.

The development team has clearly put quite a lot of work into this game, so it has a very polished feel to it. Despite the fairly generic gameplay, you can see a lot of love and attention going into this game, and this really comes across in the graphics and the soundtrack.

Overall the game is extremely promising and interesting, but it feels a bit unbalanced at the moment. There are some genuinely interesting ideas, and a very unique
