“Unfortunately, I have to bring up my past gaming experience with this game. Tarnished Kings didn’t appeal to me at all as it was a very poor RPG, and I was looking forward to seeing if it improved upon that. Sadly, it didn’t. The game has the same monotonous gameplay, same bland story and mediocre characters. The only thing unique about this game is that it has a very strange and unique setting, but this doesn’t change the fact that there isn’t very much depth to any of the gameplay. It has a very limited skill tree, and has only four characters to choose from. It’s a free to play game, but you only have one character, which is supposed to be a premium char.

Another problem I had with the game was the poor localization. It’s extremely noticeable that all the text you read is in Japanese. Sure, I can understand it being in Japanese, but when I was playing this game I didn’t need to read anything on the screen, so it didn’t add to the gameplay of the game, which it shouldn’t have had in the first place. You’re also stuck with the American voice acting, even though the Japanese versions have all the options to choose any of the audio packs of your choice. I understand that you can’t use all the voice packs, but at least give them the option to choose between Japanese and English audio. The English voice acting is incredibly annoying, and some of the dialogue sounds very terrible. When one of the characters spouts off a line about “Void” that sounded so robotic that I couldn’t bear to listen to it.

I understand that Tarnished Kings didn’t have to be a free to play, but you need to be more customer-friendly than this. I know that free to play games can be great, and this game isn’t entirely bad, it’s just underwhelming. The game has a lack of depth, and has a bare bones game play. It’s got a glitchy UI, odd translation and terrible English voice acting.

It’s a shame that this game is free to play, and I understand it’s free to play because it’s a mobile game and not something that requires a personal computer, but there needs to be some qualities of the game that make
