Now in its eighth year, the Seattle Audubon’s Blue Pacific migration trek has returned to the city’s shores and it looks to be the best ever. Billed as the world’s largest annual bird migration, this year’s Blue Pacific event will feature approximately 6,000 birds from across North America along with over 400 birders to observe the annual spectacle. The event will last from September 14-20, 2013.

The evening starts at the Stone Garage on Beacon Hill with birds departing at dusk for their Pacific migration north to the Bering Sea. We will meet at 7:30pm, go to the Stone Garage, and watch as the birds depart at dusk for their flight to the Bering Sea. We will return to Seattle by 8:30pm.

The tour will visit local educational and environmental landmarks, including the following:

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lake Washington Ship Canal and Waterfront Park

Zion and Mount Baker National Parks

Botanical Gardens

Seattle Arboretum
