As the name implies, Cinematographer Pro is a video field monitor that can be used with the newer line of Canon DSLR cameras. The main difference between a video field monitor and a video field recorder is the fact that a field monitor has no moving parts. You cannot connect the monitor to the camera. What you see is exactly what is on the camera.
With that being said, the monitor can have a matte finish and many can take advantage of customizable picture styles, panoramic picture modes and a zoom lens. The secret sauce that makes these cameras so powerful is their amazingly large sensors with high resolution.
