MIRCRYPTION is a plugin for mIRC that adds a dedicated menu to the right-click context menu on all existing mIRC and mIRC Pro channels. This menu allows to enable/disable channel-specific encryption on-the-fly and then calls all the necessary functions to encrypt and decrypt the texts on all the channels.

Asymmetric encryption
The encryption process is done in a way that the encryption keys are never transmitted to the server, and MIRCRYPTION uses the two default encryption keys (128 and 256 bit) so it can be configured. The symmetric Blowfish algorithm is used to encrypt the communications, so no compromising of security is done.
Channel-specific encryption
MIRCRYPTION allows you to set different encryption settings for channels you regularly connect to, allowing you to save a bit of time for encryption as you can simply disable it on channels you don’t regularly talk to and avoid double-encryption.
Customizable encryption settings
MIRCRYPTION allows you to make encryption settings customizable so you can create different layouts depending on your preferences. You can set the encryption keys, encrypt and decrypt alphabet, command sets and even some server settings. For the keys settings, you can either chose from a predefined list or create your own private list.
Once the encryption key is created, it is automatically saved on the private list on the mIRC or mIRC Pro program.
Customizable encryption keys
The way you create the encryption keys in MIRCRYPTION is entirely up to your preference. You can create your own predefined list and/or change the default ones to a public or private one. The encryption keys list allows you to have up to 256 keys, so you can keep a lot of customized encryption keys on MIRCRYPTION.
MIRCRYPTION has three different methods for encrypting the channels where you choose to add MIRCRYPTION. The methods offered are DCC, Direct Client-to-Client (DCC) and ActiveServer. This lets you to decide the way you want to keep the channels secure and your option is how you want to make the encryption do its job. This add-on protects your mIRC conversation from third-parties, encrypts all topics and messages typed on channels and also protects DCC chat.
It is aimed at making sure that information sent to and from mIRC is accessible to the intended recipients only, thereby providing safety in the use of your mIRC network. The cipher used to encrypt the text is Blowfish, which offers a strong level of protection, and the encryption keys are further handled and stored in a way that ensures they will never fall into the wrong hands, even if someone wants to use or access them.
Furthermore, MIRCRYPTION will prevent a message to be displayed in the visible part of the screen of any other user connected to the same channel, or even of those on the same network as long as they do not have the MIRCRYPTION add-on installed. Additionally, as long as the protection is on, a tooltip will be displayed when an image is viewed.
