Instructions
Move Asterix around with the left arrow keys, and hit the space bar to jump. Collect items (bells, vases, etc.) as you go, and use them to buy potions for your characters. Only buy potions when you need them, and be careful: you’ll pay the full price for potions at the very beginning of the game.
Use Asterix’s rock as a weapon, hitting enemies and obstacles. Hit Asterix with a tent to cure him of his wounds, and follow him around as he tries to shake off the effects of the potion he drank.
Potion Types
Asterix and Obelix drink bottles to recover after being attacked. Some of the potion bottles will cure a character for no cost, but some bottles will cost a maximum of 100 coins.
Movement and Control
Every time Asterix and Obelix walk, they become animated with a 2D horizontal scrolling movement in the direction they were facing before landing. Asterix and Obelix move slower than the player, which allows for strategic movement around enemies.
Tent & Stone Hand
A tent can be used to heal Asterix and Obelix, and temporarily remove all hit points from them.
A stone hand can be used to attack, most notably when Asterix is riding a horse and performing a bear leap.
Gameplay
Asterix and Obelix take turns in battle. To win, players must eliminate all enemies. Players can throw items at enemies to knock them down.
Obelix can eat raw meat, or any ingredients that are the price of a single potion. Once eaten, Obelix is healed for the same price as the potion cost.

Gameplay
Setting
In the game, players assume the role of a mysterious spirit who has just been turned loose in the world, with control over a group of other spirits who need to be isolated from the rest of humanity.
Storyline
Cutting their teeth on the Atari 2600 original, the game follows the development of the Isolation project, a psionic research lab funded by an unknown (but definitely male) group based in Cape Colony. Using improved techniques and a facility known as the “Isolation Simulator”, the project has carefully withdrawn, and shielded from the world, an infected member of a type of alien called Lyronoids. The simulator is managed by Doctor Wang alone, a former U.N. military advisor turned occult researcher and practitioner of forbidden magic. There is no other mention of the U.N. and, despite a few hints, there is no known connection between themselves and the Isolation project.
There are three playable characters in this game: a male human named Carlos, a female human named Cassandra, and a type of humanoid alien called a Lyronoid. The three have been carefully selected for their unknown value as assets, and their isolation from any other group. Carlos will possess the bulk of the main campaign, which involves exploration of the underground facility used by the Isolation project, the removal of satellites from orbit, and the creation of a giant isolation construct that will contain the Lyronoids. Cassandra will be the gang’s babysitter, overseeing the events, after capturing other human spirits. The human characters can also be used as hosts for exploration in a separate scene, while the alien can be used as a point of origin in a further scene that will lead back to the main story.
Plot
The player’s task is to remove a number of satellites from orbit and use their power to create an isolation sphere. In order to do that, the Isolation Project needs to have one element of communication with control outside of the project. An organism of unknown origin, the Lyronoids, is also to be contained in this sphere. According to protocol, this should be accomplished through an Isolation Simulator. However, more than one person is to access the simulator at the same time, and those who do not use their authorities are to be sterilized.
