Main Window
1. Hold down the Shift button as you press the ‘Search’ key on the keyboard.
2. Use the mouse scrollbar to move the slider to the top or bottom.
3. Click on the textbox at the top of the program window to add a text item or to remove one. Type the text you wish to search for in the entry box.
4. Make sure the radio button at the bottom of the window is set to unregistered extensions before searching for text.
5. You can also use the arrows below the textbox to highlight a file and press a key to start searching. It is only possible to search for a text in files if the ‘Search Files with unregistered extensions’ box is unchecked.
6. You may also select files to perform a search in the list box below the folder tree.
7. Press ‘Search’ to start a file search or Quit to close the program.
Settings
1. Click on the ‘Folders Settings’ button to open the folder list for searching. Double click to add a folder and click again to remove the folder.
2. Click the folder to open the folder in the main window.
3. Click a file to open it in the main window.
4. Use the arrows to scroll through the folders in the main window, click the up or down buttons to select folders to search for. Double click to add folders, click again to remove the folders.
5. Hold down the ‘Shift’ key while you select files with the arrow buttons to select multiple files and files with certain extensions.
6. Press ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ to move through the list of selected files. Click ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’ to save the changes.
7. Press the ‘Settings’ button to save your current settings.
